About LazyCompare
We compare mobile and internet plans in the Philippines — tourist SIMs, prepaid data, eSIMs, fiber, and 5G home broadband — and we show our working on every number.
Who publishes this
LazyCompare is an independent publication. It is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any of the telecom providers it compares. Reach us at office@happening.group.
What we cover
- Visiting the Philippines — which SIM or eSIM to buy by trip length, where to get one at NAIA, and what SIM registration actually involves.
- Prepaid and mobile — data packs from DITO, Smart, and Globe, compared on price, allowance, and validity.
- Home internet — fiber from PLDT, Globe, Converge, and Sky, plus prepaid fiber and 5G home broadband, including who serves where.
We currently track 52 plans and answer 42 questions. Of those plans, 31are verified against the provider’s own page and 21 come from named third parties.
How we stay honest
Philippine telecom pricing changes constantly, and several operators do not publish prices in a form anyone can check. That makes it easy for a comparison site to drift into publishing confident-looking numbers nobody has verified. We try not to.
- Every price carries the page it was read from and the date it was checked. Pages show the oldest check among the figures they display, not the newest.
- Figures we could not read from the provider are labelled as third-party reported, with the source named.
- Superlatives — “cheapest”, “best value” — are calculated from the same records shown in the table, so the claim and the data cannot disagree.
- When a plan disappears from a provider’s lineup, we remove it rather than leaving a dead price on the page.
The full policy is on our methodology page.
How we make money
This site carries advertising. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content and appear only within articles — never in navigation, never disguised as content, and never in a position that pushes the comparison off the screen.
Advertisers have no input into our rankings, verdicts, or which providers we cover. Links to provider and third-party sites are citations rather than endorsements, and are marked nofollow.
Corrections
We will get things wrong. If a figure here does not match what a provider is charging, tell us — we will check it, correct it, and update the verification date: office@happening.group.
Whatever we publish, confirm the price on the provider’s own site or app before you pay for anything.
