How we gather and check our data

What the labels mean

• Verified— we read the figure directly off the provider’s own page and recorded the URL and the date. This is the standard we aim for.
• Reported— the provider’s own page could not be read, so the figure comes from a named third party such as trade press or a specialist guide. We show you which one. Treat these as indicative.
• Needs recheck — the figure has not been re-confirmed in over 60 days. Trust decays with time, so records age into this state automatically whether or not anyone touches them.

Where we stand right now

We currently track 55 plans, the oldest of which was last checked on 26 Jul 2026. Of those, 34are verified against the provider’s own page, 21 come from third-party sources, and 0 are due a recheck.

Why not all verified? Several Philippine operators — Smart and Globe in particular — serve their promo pages in a way that blocks automated reading, and Smart rotates promo names and prices frequently enough that published third-party lists disagree with each other. We would rather show you a labelled third-party figure with its source than a confident-looking number we cannot stand behind.

What we do not do

• We do not print an “updated” date generated at page-load. Every freshness line on this site derives from when the underlying data was actually checked — and it shows the oldest check on the page, not the newest, so one fresh row cannot vouch for a page of stale ones.
• We do not hand-write superlatives. Every “cheapest” and “best value” claim is computed from the same records shown in the table beside it, so the sentence and the data cannot drift apart.
• We do not carry forward plans we cannot source. When a plan disappears from a provider’s lineup, we remove it rather than leaving a dead price on the page.
• We do not claim address-level coverage. Fiber availability is recorded at province or city level, which is as fine-grained as the public data goes. Always confirm your exact address with the provider.

Currency conversion

eSIM providers price in US dollars and local operators price in pesos. To compare them we convert at a recorded rate — currently ₱61.74 to $1, read from ExchangeRates.org.uk on 21 Jul 2026. Converted figures always appear with a “≈”. What your card actually charges will differ.

How we pick a winner

“Our pick” is a calculation, not an opinion, and we show you the calculation: cheapest total cost, lowest cost per gigabyte, or lowest monthly cost per Mbps, depending on what the page is comparing. Short prepaid loads are normalised to 30 days before being compared with monthly plans. Plans priced as a range are excluded from “cheapest” comparisons, because a range has no single price to compare.

A cheap plan is not automatically the right plan. Coverage, fair-use caps, and contract length often matter more than headline price, and we call those out where they apply.

Independence

We are not owned by, or paid by, any of the providers we compare. Outbound links to provider and third-party pages are marked nofollow — they are citations, not endorsements. The site carries advertising, which is labelled and kept separate from editorial content; advertisers have no input into rankings or verdicts.
