What is the best SIM card for one week in the Philippines?

For a 7-day trip, Smart's 7-day unlimited 5G tourist pack at around ₱299 is the most convenient option and is sold at NAIA booths. The cheapest verified alternative is DITO New Level-Up 99 — ₱99 for 9GB over 15 days, which covers a week with data to spare if DITO reaches where you are going.

A week is the most common tourist trip length, and it is the window operators design their tourist promos around. You should not need to buy 30 days of validity.

How much data does a week actually need?

For maps, messaging, ride-hailing, and social media, most travellers use 3–5GB across a week. That makes DITO's 9GB pack generous and Airalo's 5GB package about right. If you plan to stream video, hold video calls, or upload a lot of photos, go for an unlimited pack instead — you will burn through a fixed allowance faster than you expect.

The coverage question again

DITO is the cheapest by a wide margin, but only if it covers your destinations. A week-long trip that stays in Metro Manila, Cebu City, or another major urban area is well served by DITO. A week that includes island-hopping or a provincial beach town is not the place to save ₱200.
