Internet and mobile providers in the Philippines — compare plans and prices
DITO is the budget newcomer. Smart is the established leader. Here's how they compare for tourists visiting the Philippines.
Smart is the safer choice — wider coverage and a purpose-built tourist SIM. DITO is significantly cheaper (₱99 vs ₱249 for 7 days) but coverage outside major cities is limited.

In Metro Manila, Cebu, and Davao — yes. But if you're heading to Palawan, Siargao, or rural Visayas, Smart has far better coverage.
DITO is a newer carrier (launched 2021) still building its user base. Aggressive pricing is their strategy to compete with Smart and Globe.
DITO has kiosks at NAIA, though they're less prominent than Smart and Globe. You can also buy at 7-Eleven stores.
